Me and the Gombalámpás

My name is Hanna, I am 20 years old, and I have been creating Gombalámpás since 2022.

At first, the lamps were made alongside my high school studies, but after successfully passing my final exams, I decided last summer to dedicate a full year solely to creating Gombalámpás. In less than a year, I crafted hundreds of lamps, both for custom orders and markets.
Fortunately, my lamps always find loving homes, which makes me so glad. Currently, there is at least one Gombalámpás on every continent that has been made by my hands, and in January, Szabad Föld weekly magazine conducted a short interview with me.
I constantly try to do my best, never settling for less. My biggest project so far has been the Gombalámpás store, where every piece of furniture reflects a part of my heart. The iconic root once gave life to the sour cherry tree in my Aunt and Uncle’s garden. It took me four months to shape the store into a real warm, welcoming nook, waiting for all of you.

Each piece is made by hand, with love and care.

Classic hats are made freehand, without a mold, while the Crest and Spotted caps cames from casting form.

The entire mashroom is handcrafted from PVC, by hand. The mushroom stems are flexible and not fragile, thanks to the elastic plastic.

The lamps rest on real wood, the battery compartment is built into the base, so the aesthetic isn’t spoiled by the sight of batteryholders or cables. The cavities for concealing the battery switches are created with a hand milling machine.

The trees are covered with live moss, which requires no special care—just an occasional spritz of water.

Each tree-based Gombalámpás is fitted with a precision-made, logo-embossed fabric base to protect furniture from damage. By lifting this base, battery replacement is easy to made.
